March 20th General Membership Meeting

Please join us for our Membership Meeting on Wednesday, March 20th in Independence Center, Morris/Nelson Rooms. Doors open at 5:30. Speakers will be Commissioner Michael Naft and former Governor Steve Sisolak

We have a fun and delicious dinner planned, a Baked Potato Bar and salad. BYOB and bring dessert to share.

We are happy to report that the club finished the year with it's annual membership being 496, the largest Democratic Club in Nevada! We will be working with the Biden/Harris Campaign, the Senator Jacky Rosen Campaign and of course Rep. Dina Titus.  We will work with local candidates and initiatives to maintain the Democratic majority in both State Houses. We will also help candidates throughout the Valley.  Please watch for opportunities to help save Democracy! The Campaigns are currently hiring their field organizers and will soon be reaching out to us to call, text, knock, give and anything else we can think of to make sure Nevada turns bluer.

We have a wonderful problem to work through and your input is welcome. Our meetings in the Morris/Nelson/Penn rooms are at capacity. Due to fire laws and safety issues, we are already using the maximum amount of tables and chairs. We have continued to serve fun, light dinners and appreciate the many donations and 50/50 raffle that help make it possible. If we consider moving our meetings into the Ballroom, for additional space, we would then only be allowed to serve dinner from Yorktown Grill. We love Yorktown Grill, but the prices would dramatically increase over what we currently serve. Yes, it's a good problem to have. If you have ideas for next steps, please contact Margy margy613@gmail.com with recommendations for going forward.

Looking forward to a great meeting on Wednesday, March 20th at 5:30!
