Values
- Manifest principles of liberty, equality, and objective reason in our values of voting rights, racial justice, economic opportunity, affordable healthcare and reproductive rights, minority and LGBTQ rights and the right to equitable education, among others
- Serve as a socially conscious organization that actively engages in activities like marching, attending rallies, writing letters and testifying to support our causes or to protest corruption
- Promote the education of members through regular presentations from invited speakers on issues and events of interest
- Demonstrate energy, commitment and motivation while promoting core values through support of candidates and issues
Elections work
- Promote and engage in voter registration efforts
- Encourage active participation and support for Democratic candidates in local state and national elections
- Provide resources and information on candidates, issues, and mechanics of voting to help members make informed decisions.
General Interest
- When primaries are over and candidates have been selected, we gear up and campaign through voter registration drives, knocking on doors, phone banking, text banking, writing postcards, hosting house parties, working at printing companies, stuffing envelopes, providing written materials to facilitate participation in voting, and other opportunities as they arise
- In addition to being socially conscious, we are friendly and sociable. We enjoy each other's company, food and libations, and fostering friendships
